This is not an entry level sales position. If you are just a retail salesperson, do not apply.
If you use AI for everything and need to use it all day, don’t apply.
You must have:
Extensive high-ticket sales and closing experience.
Proven experience building sales systems, recruiting a sales team, and managing that team. (These requirements are mandatory.)
This is a hands-on individual contributor role. You will personally conduct sales calls, run live sales meetings, follow up with opportunities, handle objections, and close deals.
We are looking for an experienced closer who is hungry, resourceful, tech-forward, self-motivated, and still wants to be personally responsible for winning new business.
About the Role
This is not an entry-level sales role, and it is not a sales management position.
Built By Shah works exclusively with auto body shops. Our goal is to help body shop owners get more vehicles dropped off for repairs. Previous industry experience is a plus, but not required. You must be willing to independently research, learn, and become knowledgeable enough to confidently talk shop with our target clients.
We are looking for a highly experienced closer who can sell to local business owners and confidently lead sales conversations from discovery through close.
Built By Shah is not a traditional marketing agency.
We do not measure success by clicks, conversions, or lead volume alone. What matters is whether the marketing produces real collision repair opportunities that can turn into actual revenue for the shop.
You are not simply selling Google Ads.
You are selling a complete growth system designed to help body shops get more repairs, using proprietary google ad campaigns plus a high converting landing page plus a lead management software. A system that turns traffic into a paying customer for the body shop.
Your job is to understand the shop owner's current situation, identify their problems, understand what they have already tried, and clearly communicate how Built By Shah can help.
This is a performance-driven, commission-based role where your income is directly tied to your personal ability to close deals, as well as the residuals generated by the team you build.
Current Company Standing & The Opportunity
In our first 8 months of business, we have already acquired 70 auto body shop clients.
Here is the catch: our founder closed all 70 of those accounts while wearing every other hat in the company—building systems, managing operations, and running the business. If a founder who is not a dedicated salesperson can close 70 accounts part-time in 8 months, a true high-ticket closer should easily be able to close 100+ and dominate this space.
The Goal: We are actively scaling and are aiming to hit 200 active clients by the end of the year. We are bringing you in to take over the sales engine and help us obliterate that target.
Why This Sales Role Is Different
The owners of Built By Shah Marketing are body shop owners with over 20 years combined experience in the industry, which has led us to our rapid growth in the marketing industry. You will be able to use this to your advantage when closing deals. Because we only work with body shops, our sales approach is specific to how collision repair businesses actually grow.
The salesperson we hire must understand the difference between:
- Lead volume and lead quality.
- Clicks and real customer intent.
- Leads and actual repair opportunities.
- Marketing activity and business results.
Your extensive Google Ads knowledge is important because you need to understand a major part of the customer acquisition process, but you must also be able to look beyond Google Ads and identify the real problem.
That may include:
- Not enough qualified opportunities.
- Poor lead quality.
- Weak follow-up.
- Good opportunities falling through the cracks.
- Overreliance on insurance referrals.
The goal is not to give every prospect the same pitch.
The goal is to understand what is preventing the shop from growing and clearly show how Built By Shah can help solve that problem.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Sales: Leading prospective clients from initial discovery to closed-won via live video meetings and direct phone calls, acting as the primary revenue driver while your team ramps up. You are not going to be on the phone lead after lead after lead, so make every call count and have your follow ups and schedules for follow up be meaningful.
- Strategic Client Nurturing & Relentless Follow-Up: Building and executing the exact systems, schedules, and plans for multi-touch follow-ups. You will be responsible for ensuring that both you and your future team are constantly massaging prospects, building trust, and utilizing every tool at your disposal to bring deals across the finish line.
- Conducting Deep Discovery: Asking hard-hitting questions to uncover a shop's true bottlenecks—diagnosing their core problems and past failures.
- Pipeline & CRM Management: Taking strict accountability for your own results and your team's results by keeping deals organized, follow-ups highly structured and on schedule, and CRM notes meticulously up to date.
- Handling Objections & Closing: Uncovering the real hesitation behind statements like "I need to think about it," confidently asking for the sale, and executing relentless follow-up to re-engage stalled deals.
- Self-Education & Adaptation: Proactively researching the collision repair industry and our tech stack independently, while feeding market trends and objection patterns back to the internal team to refine our process.
Required Skills and Experience
- Analytic Skills: Strong Google Ads knowledge or similar experience.
- Sales & Closing Mastery: Proven track record of selling services directly to local business owners. You must excel at deep discovery, sales psychology, overcoming objections, selling value over features, and confidently asking for the sale.
- Organized & Reliable: Flawless follow-up habits, strict CRM pipeline management, and extreme personal accountability for your own numbers.
- Presence & Independence: An engaging, high-energy, and professional on-camera presence. You must be a self-starter who can think on your feet, adapt to new software quickly, and research answers independently without needing your hand held.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience selling high-ticket, recurring marketing retainers to local service businesses (specifically auto body shops, collision repair, or automotive).
- Experience closing deals inside a fast-growing digital marketing agency environment.
- Familiarity with agency tech stacks and full-funnel systems, including GoHighLevel (or similar CRMs), CallRail, landing pages, and marketing automation.
- Prior Auto body shop knowledge / experience
Work Schedule & Setup Requirements
This is a remote, full-time, Monday through Friday position operating on Pacific Time. This position is strictly limited to candidates who currently reside within the United States. This is not a side project or occasional freelance gig—we are looking for a dedicated closer who will take complete ownership of their pipeline, conduct meetings, and produce revenue.
- Schedule & Availability: You must be available during regular business hours to actively follow up with opportunities and lead scheduled sales meetings with prospects.
- On-Camera Professionalism: Our entire sales process relies on live, face-to-face conversations with business owners. All scheduled meetings must be conducted live on video.
- Workspace & Tech Setup: You must have a quiet, distraction-free environment that commands respect. A professional computer setup, reliable high-speed internet, a high-quality camera, and a crisp microphone are absolutely required.
